FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my bank data safe?
Completely. Your file is processed entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. No data is ever sent to any server. The file never leaves your device.
Which banks are supported?
Any bank that allows you to export your statement as a CSV file is supported. This includes most major banks worldwide such as Chase, Bank of America, Barclays, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, and hundreds of others.
What if my columns are not detected correctly?
After uploading, you will see a column mapping step where you can manually assign each column (Date, Description, Debit, Credit, Balance). The auto-detection works for most common header names but you can always override it.
Can I convert OFX or QFX files?
Currently only CSV files are supported. Most banks offer a CSV export option in their online banking portal. If your bank only provides OFX/QFX, consider using your bank's own export options or a dedicated conversion tool first.
How do I export my bank statement as CSV?
Log into your online banking, go to your account transactions, look for a 'Download', 'Export', or 'Statement' option, and choose CSV or Excel format. The exact steps vary by bank, but most provide this feature under account history.
Does it support statements with debit and credit in a single amount column?
Yes. If your bank uses a single Amount column where debits are negative numbers and credits are positive (or vice versa), select 'Amount (Single Column)' during mapping. The tool will split them automatically.
